Structure

A piece of birch brushwood (L 0.43m; diam. 0.027m) in the drain face. One end is cut to a chisel point. The site sits in well-humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
