What is recorded here

Originally recorded as a complex/togher structure (exposed L 9m). Excavation in 2002 revealed a substantial roundwood and brushwood structure, orientated N-S, with a date range of 390-170 BC (Whitaker 2009, 62). Its haphazard arrangement meant no definite purpose could be assigned to it. Roundwood constituted the main building element (80%) while brushwood made up the remainder. Toolmarks were evident. This structure lay 0.05-0.25m below a platform (LF022-179----) but the two do not appear to have been connected.
