What is recorded here
Originally recorded as a compact structure (exposed L 1.5m, Wth 1.4m, T 0.2m) of longitudinal roundwood, brushwood and occasional split timber, resting on transverse roundwood. Excavation in 2001 yielded a date range of 730-520 BC (Whitaker 2009, 99). The remains comprise three parallel roundwoods (diam. 0.05 to 0.08m) and associated brushwood and twigs (diam. 0.003- 0.026m). There was some evidence of woodworking.
