What is recorded here
A site (Wth 2m; D 0.7m) consisting of two parallel oak roundwoods exposed on the field surface approximately 1.7m apart. One of these is an oak trunk (L 3.6m; diam. 0.23m) and the other is a roundwood (L 3.5m min.; diam. 0.115m). The elements are positioned N-S. A side branch had probably been sawn from one end of the trunk. Factors such as the fresh condition of the wood, its location on a ridge field and the presence of saw marks imply that this wood may be relatively modern. It is removed from the landscape (Rohan 2012).
