Structure

A single stake located at the edge of a drain (L 0.63m; diam. 0.04m). One end has been cut to a wedge point with a minimum of five separate facets visible. The stake is dried out due to exposure and may be of recent origin. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
