What is recorded here

A single piece of desiccated brushwood (L 0.24m; diam. 0.035m), set at 45° angle in the drain face and which appears to be displaced. The associated peat was poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
