Structure

A single piece of brushwood (L 0.16m min.; diam. 0.058m) embedded into the drain face with no evidence of woodworking at either end. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
