Structure

Three desiccated and broken pieces of heavy brushwood (L 0.75m; Wth 0.5m), orientated NNE-SSW on the field surface near the drain edge, approximately 0.15-0.33m apart, with two pieces of brushwood located 1.3m to the SW on either side of the drain. The material was set above Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
