Structure

A single piece of heavy brushwood (L 0.46m min.; diam. 0.06m) was evident in the drain face. It was set in poorly humified peat containing Sphagnum with occasional ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
