Structure

An irregular scatter of light brushwood, twigs and uprights on the field surface (Wth 1.25m min.; D 0.08m min.). No clear structure is evident. The material is fragmentary and in poor condition. One degraded chisel point is present. This site lies in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with frequent ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
