Structure

An irregular deposit of mixed brushwood and twigs (L 2.285m min.; Wth 0.68m min.; D 0.22m min.). These are in an area that has been highly disturbed by railway construction. Some of the elements are in situ but most have been disturbed and are fragmented into short lengths. The condition of the wood is predominantly poor. The associated peat is also disturbed, consisting of moderately and poorly humified Sphagnum peats with some ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
