What is recorded here
Kilcloony holds a rectangular ghost inside its western cashel, waiting for human eyes to remember the shape LiDAR already revealed. The late-medieval building may have stood beside ancient stone, tying together a field system still faint beneath the grass.
A possible rectangular building is visible in the W half of a cashel (GA016-137001-) that came to light on LiDAR imagery (FitzPatrick 2019, 25). It may be a late-medieval addition to the cashel and the field system (GA016-137003-) may be associated with it.
