What is recorded here

Ten wooden stakes still stick through the mudflats of Inishloe, scattered across thirty metres of shallow water. They face Canon Abbey across the Fergus Estuary, marking a forgotten fish trap rather than a grand building. The sea took the nets and strings but left the bones behind, forcing every tide to reveal human patience instead of forgetting it.

On the shore of Inishloe Island in the Fergus Estuary. Described by O’Sullivan et al. (2010) as follows: ’10 stakes scattered in an area about 30m squared in the mudflats. They lie on thee western side on Inishloe, across from Canon abbey on Canon Island. There are two pairs of stakes and the others occur individually.
