Wall-mounted cast-iron ward boundary marker, ----. Set in rendered, ruled and lined boundary wall.
A ward boundary marker representing an interesting example of cast-iron work making a pleasing, if largely inconspicuous visual statement in Spa Well Road. NOTE: The ward boundary marker owes its origins to the Charter granted to Wexford in 1846 following the abolition of thirty-eight boroughs under the Municipal Corporations (Ireland) Act, 1840 (cf. 15502058; 15502123; 15502182).
