Stranocum Historic Settlement in Stranocum

Stranocum Historic Settlement

What is recorded here

Stranocum Historic Settlement occupied County Antrim through the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, preserving a compact human presence now reduced to a single map point. That tiny marker compresses generations of labour, breath and choice into one invisible dot. The land may still hold the shape of forgotten rooms, though no wall remains to prove it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Stranocum Historic Settlement. Recorded period: C17TH; C18TH. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
