Seven stones tilt inside rough Cork grazing, forming a shallow chamber where Hartnett once found a small square box holding ashes and bone scraps. O Nualláin still calls the purpose uncertain, leaving the circle suspended between burial, marker and forgotten ritual. That uncertainty belongs to the place, not a failure of imagination.

In reclaimed rough grazing, on SW-facing slope. Marked 'Stone Circle' on 1904 and 1934 OS 6-inch maps. O Nualláin (1984a, 47) recorded 'six orthostats' (H 0.5m-1.1m; average L 0.6m) which 'delimit an area 7.5m by 4.5m....surrounded by a shallow depression'. 'A seventh stone stands on edge within this setting' (ibid.). Described by Hartnett (1939, 40) as 'the kerb of a cairn' within which was found 'a small square stone box containing ashesand small scraps of bone'. O Nualláin (ibid.) concludes that the nature ofthe site 'is uncertain'. Condon (1916, 157) recorded a second similar feature (CO049-003002-) 20 yards to the S, 33ft in diameter and consisting of 7 stones; this was not located.
