Stone Alignment

In pasture, on S-facing slope of valley of River Feale. Two stones remain of possible seven. Bowman (1934, 84-5) was told by landowner that 'there were 7 Dallauns originally descending in height from 4ft 9in to 1ft 6in. Five...stones...removed and used in the construction of a lime-kiln nearby' (now levelled). Remaining stones now stand parallel, 0.4m apart. West stone, aligned NNE-SSW, is 0.5m L, 0.3m T and 1m H. East stone formerly stood in line to S; knocked mid-1980s and re-erected in present position. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
