Standing Stone (Site of) is a broken limestone stump in an undulating Leitrim pasture, reduced to a half-metre stub after travelling thirty metres from its original place. It resists easy belief because two separate archaeological tests found nothing beside it, no burial, hollow or ceremony waiting beneath the grass. The stone may have marked a boundary, a memory or a person lost before record-keeping began.

Situated in an undulating pasture with rock outcrop. It is marked only on the revised 1944 edition of the OS 6-inch map, and it had been moved c. 30m SE to its present position (OSFM). The stump of a limestone slab remains (dims c. 1.2m x 0.3m; H 0.6m). Archaeological testing (00E0487) c. 50m to the S failed to reveal any associated features (Read 2002a), and testing (03E0956) c. 50m to the NW had a similar result (Timoney 2006).
