Aghadaneven holds a standing stone that may be a buried tomb, preserving a chamber where ancient people placed their dead. The stone still rises from the ground while the rest of the structure has surrendered to soil and forgetting. It is not a complete monument, but a remainder: a vertical witness to a horizontal chamber no longer visible.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as STANDING STONE, possibly MEGALITHIC TOMB. Recorded period: PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
