What is recorded here

Standing stone in Tullyglass (carbery East (w.d) By.) stands one metre high in a level pasture field SW of Ballingurteen village, leaning slightly NW with a rounded top. Someone may have set it there to mark a boundary, honour a dead person or simply watch the field, but no human name or date has reached us. It still occupies the land like a quiet witness, narrow at the base and broader where it meets the grass.

In a level pasture field, surrounded by undulating farmland to the SW of Ballingurteen village. This standing stone (1.4m x 0.45m; H 1m) leans slightly to the NW and is orientated NE-SW.
