What is recorded here

Knocktopher and Scart both claim the same stone, neither name complete without the other. A tall shape still stands where two towns remember it, perhaps marking a border or a meeting place. The duplication is not a mistake but a clue: the stone belonged to both, witnessed by both, remembered in two tongues of the same valley.
