What is recorded here

Standen Stone stands on the northwest slope of a Donegal drumlin, close to the south shore of Lough Eske. It has no visible mark on the second or third Ordnance Survey six-inch maps, yet the stone is recorded as a standing stone in Milltown. That absence makes the place harder to believe and easier to remember: a stone large enough to be noted, hidden from the line drawn for others.

There is no trace of the 'Standing Stone' marked on the 2nd and 3rd editions of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on the NW slope of a drumlin close to the S shore of Lough Eske.
