What is recorded here

Knocknashannagh once held two standing stones on the land of P. Murphy, but human hands broke and removed them. They vanished from the earth, leaving behind a gap where stone might have touched sky. What remains is a absence shaped like a place, a reminder that even permanent things can be taken.

Bowman (1934, 261) recorded two stones (see CO029-114----) on P. Murphy's land; 'these were broken and removed'. Exact location not known.
