What is recorded here

Knocknashannagh held two standing stones on P. Murphy's land before men broke and removed them. Bowman recorded them in 1934, but even that account leaves their exact spot lost. They may have marked a boundary, a burial or a prayer, yet no stone remains to argue the case.

Bowman (1934, 261) recorded two stones (see CO029-116----) on P. Murphy's land; 'these were broken and removed'. Exact location not known.
