On a gentle W-facing slope, to the N of Knockballynoe House and c. 50m E of a small pond (dims. c. 50m x 30m), in pasture. A standing stone (0.3m x 0.3m; H 1.1m) with a milky quartz atop, square in plan. The angles of the stone are worn from cattle abrasion.

Probably dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this standing stone may have had ceremonial or territorial significance. The presence of milky quartz, often valued in prehistoric times, suggests it could have been chosen for symbolic or spiritual reasons.
