In level pasture, surrounding land poorly drained. Identified by Tipperary South County Museum (05/11/1987) as a fulacht fiadh possible. Drain and field boundary immediately to N of monument. No visible surface trace. No apparent black soil or burnt stone at this location or its vicinity.
