Knockardbane holds a smooth rectangular stone on a north-facing slope above the Awbeg River. It stands barely a metre high, yet its polished edges and distant companion suggest human hands shaped the landscape long before memory faded. The river still flows beneath the slope, carrying rain from the hills while the stone watches the water move.

In pasture, on N-facing slope overlooking Awbeg River. Stone (H 0.96m; 0.35m x 0.15m) is rectangular in plan and very smooth, long axis NE-SW. Second stone (10056) 40.6m to NE.
