Standing stone in Knockagh (drom Par.)

Situated on a rise of ground with nearby burial ground (TN035-003001) to E. A possible standing stone (H 1.1m; dims. 0.45m x 0.35m) orientated on a NW-SE axis with packing-stones at base. Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this standing stone may have had ritual or funerary significance given its proximity to a burial ground. Its orientation and packing-stones suggest it was deliberately placed, possibly as a marker or part of a wider ceremonial landscape.
