What is recorded here

Killeen stands sixteen decimetres tall in open pasture, its rectangular body aligned northeast to southwest. The stone has watched grass grow and retreat for centuries, steady while every living thing around it changed. People may have gathered there to mark seasons, honour the dead or simply watch the sky tilt across the plain. Its patience is not empty; it is a container for every conversation forgotten beneath the wind.
