What is recorded here

Glentanedowney holds a two-foot stone with a ten-foot-six girth, buried beneath grass or forgotten beneath a field edge. Bowman measured it for D. T. Guiney in 1934, but the exact spot has slipped from human memory. The stone may still stand where Guiney's land meets the sky, waiting for someone to stop walking and notice the shape of its shadow.

Bowman (1934, 453) recorded standing stone on D. T. Guiney's land '...2ft high by 10ft 6in girth'. Exact location not known.
