Standing stone in Faul is a squat, pyramidal quartzite marker on the southern shore of Clifden Bay, still leaning into the Atlantic wind beside an old midden of broken shells and forgotten fires. It is not a grand monument, but a small witness: a place where people stood, watched the sea, and left behind the ordinary remains of living.

Close to the seashore on S side of Clifden Bay. Squat grey quartzite stone, pyramidal in shape (H 1m). A midden (GA035-044----) lies close by to W on the shoreline.
