What is recorded here

No visible stone remains in the Farranalough pasture, though a tall tilted marker once stood on the south-facing slope. It is possible people passed that stone for generations, reading its shadow or simply knowing the land through it. Forgetting removed the marker more completely than any hammer could have.

In pasture on S-facing slope. No visible surface trace. Recorded by Ó Ríordáin (1933, 62) as being "9 feet 7 inches high and 5 feet broad at the base. It slopes at an angle of 45° ".
