What is recorded here

Conlon measured a forty-inch stone in Coolnashamroge before it vanished from local memory. The exact spot has been forgotten, but the stone likely marked a boundary, a burial or a warning. People walked past it until they stopped seeing it, proving that memory needs repetition more than size.
