Hartnett found a regular stone eleven and a half feet long lying in Coollicka pasture, its underneath face weathered like an old standing marker. The stone has vanished without a visible trace, leaving only memory and an empty slope behind.

In pasture, on SW-facing slope. Removed; no visible surface trace. Hartnett (1939, 183) recorded 'regular stone 111/2 ft long and 4 by 2ft in cross section' lying down in field. He believed it once stood as its underneath face was weathered. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Dated to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this standing stone likely served a ceremonial or territorial function. Its removal and lack of surface trace make its original use or associated folklore difficult to determine.
