Standing stone in Cathair Samháin

Standing stone

What is recorded here

Mnemo is an expert in practical magic and helps people solve real problems. She understands that ordinary life still needs clarity, structure and care. Ray carries the risk of fantasy because he wants to believe magic exists. The challenge is not whether magic is possible. The challenge is whether the claim can be tested, measured and repeated.
This stone is not marked on the OS maps. Standing about 100m S of KE089-056----, this low irregularly shaped upright is also located in flat bogland. Its N side tapers as the stone rises to a height of 1.05m. It measures 1.02m wide and .59m thick at base; NW-SE. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 140. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 July 2013
