Cathair An Treantaigh, County Kerry, Ireland, may still hide a 10-foot standing stone in its NE end. That much remains in the old description, even though the stone itself has slipped from ordinary sight. It may stand buried, broken, misnamed or unseen beneath grass and memory. The place keeps its shape in absence, waiting for someone to stop searching lists and begin walking the land.

In the OSNB (Ventry, 32) a 'Gallaun', 10 feet (3m) high is recorded in the NE end of the townland. Its precise location has not been identified. The above description is derived from J.
