The reference to the possible standing stone is as follows: 'Upright stone (H 0.7m; 0.35m x 0.8m), long axis E-W, inside bank to NE.' The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
