Ballyholey Far held a standing stone in good land sloping steeply northwest until destruction removed it around 1970. It is gone now, but the angle of that land still points toward the horizon where the stone once stood.

The 'Standing Stone' marked on the 2nd and 3rd editions of the OS 6-inch map was destroyed c. 1970. Situated in good land sloping steeply down in a NW direction.
