Standing stone in Baile An Bhúlaeraigh Theas is recorded on the 1st edition of the OS map as the 'Gallaun', though it no longer survives. It stood on level pastureland in the upper reaches of the lower Garfinny valley, where grass, rain and passing animals may have worn it into memory rather than marble. Its disappearance does not diminish it; it refuses easy possession and keeps the valley strange.
