Abandoned church on W side of road. Indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map where named 'Kilpadder R.C. Chapel'; it was built in 1836 (Kavanagh 1991, 22). T-shaped church with short nave (long axis E-W) and long arms at W end. Walls rendered over random-rubble. Pointed window opes throughout, some windows retain stained glass. Bellcote atop central breakfront on entrance gable at E end; central pointed door, with pointed window overhead. Interior gutted, but some 19th-century memorial plaques remain on walls; simple A-frame timber roof. Abandoned in 1969 when modern church built in Dromahane c. 1km to N (ibid.) and according to local information demolished 1985. Rectangular churchyard enclosed by earthen bank to NW, rendered wall to NE with gateway, trees to SE and scarp to SW with steps leading to mass path. According to local information unmarked burial in overgrown SE quadrant; early 20th-century memorials and burial place of Carroll-Leahy family also in churchyard.

St Peter's Catholic Church in Kilpadder South was built in 1836 as a T-shaped chapel with a short nave and long western arms. It is significant as an early 19th-century Roman Catholic place of worship, indicated on the 1842 Ordnance Survey map as 'Kilpadder R.C. Chapel'.
