SMS *Markgraf* was a German pre-dreadnought battleship scuttled in Scapa Flow on 21 June 1919 by its crew to avoid capture after World War I. It sank in Cava Sound, Orkney, with no loss of life, and remains a significant historical wreck within Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment.
