SMS *König* was a German *König* class battleship scuttled in Scapa Flow, Orkney, on 21 June 1919 during the internment of the German High Seas Fleet. It was part of the 54 ships deliberately sunk by their crews to prevent them from being handed over to the Allies after World War I; no lives were lost in the scuttling, and the wreck is now a protected historic site.
