What is recorded here
On poorly drained grasssland on a W-facing slope of rising ground in an upland region overlooking a river valley to the W, with a moated site (TS055-045----) 120m to the NNW. The site of the church is indicated on both the 1st (1840) and 2nd (1903) ed. OS 6-inch map, while its surrounding circular enclosure (TS055-046001-) is only indicated on the 2nd ed. A possible low, circular, grass-covered mound of stone (H 0.5m; diam. 5m N-S) may indicate the site of the church in the N quadrant of the enclosure, but no other features are visible.
