Castle Shuna stands on Shuna Island in Argyll and Bute, carrying a medieval tower beneath 18th and 19th century changes. The island is small enough that the castle still dominates its shape, and the water closes the view like a room with no door. People may have built it to be seen before it could be reached, forcing visitors to arrive by boat and admit they had come to it.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Shuna Island, Castle Shuna as Building (18th Century) - (19th Century), Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The castle on Shuna Island is a medieval tower house, later modified in the 18th and 19th centuries; it is associated with the Macleans of Coll and is remembered as a historic family seat in the Inner Hebrides.
