What is recorded here

Mussels and herring bones piled high beside a small Christian settlement, then quiet burials above the older refuse. People ate, prayed and died in the same narrow strip of County Antrim, layer after layer. The midden records hunger and abundance, the settlements record belief, and the later graves record forgetting.
