Settlement deserted

Settlement deserted, medieval

What is recorded here

Galway’s abandoned medieval settlement still holds the shape of human life, though the names and dates have vanished. Rooms may have warmed under stormy skies, children may have run between stone walls, and strangers may have passed without knowing the place existed. Forgetting did not erase the hands that built it. It only removed the warning that the walls were young.
