What is recorded here
End-of-terrace two-bay three-storey former house with chamfered corner to the west, built c. 1835, as a pair with the adjoining building to the east. Now in use as retail outlet, and partly altered to the ground floor. Hipped tile roof with rendered chimneystack and rendered parapet. Rendered walls. Segmental-arched openings with moulded render surrounds to upper floors, with replacement aluminium windows. Round-headed door opening with moulded render surround and replacement glazed door. Fixed windows and glazed door to altered openings. Retaining some interior fittings.
Built as a pair with the adjoining former house to the east, the scale and form of this pair make a positive contribution to the streetscape. The building is enhanced by the retention of interesting features and materials, such as the moulded render detail, segmental-arched openings and the timber staircase.
