Saint Maul's Graveyard

Saint Maul's Graveyard occupies Greensbridge Street in Newpark Lower, Kilkenny, marked by an 1889 cut-stone plaque set into a roughcast wall. The graveyard belongs to the late nineteenth century and preserves a buried layer of the town beneath its ordinary streets. People may have walked past it daily, forgetting that death and memory still shape the neighbourhood.
