Saint Kilian is a birthplace in Mullagh, County Meath, Ireland. Perhaps the boy ran barefoot across wet grass before crossing seas to become a German saint. Maybe he carried Irish breath into foreign churches, where it still echoes in prayers spoken by strangers.
