Saint Joseph's Church in County Cavan, Ireland, holds the flag of the Crosserlough Battalion of Old I.R.A beneath its high alter. The battalion donated the alter in 1967, and the same flag that draped each member's coffin now rests under the altar in honour of that gift.
The Crosserlough Battalion of Old I.R.A held fundraisers and donated the cost of the high alter to the church in 1967. In honour of this donation their flag, which draped the coffin of each of its members is interned under the high alter.
